Uh oh. I got my first one of the summer today. The first whiney.... Moooom, I'm bored."
Wonderful. We are what... 5 days into summer vacation already, technically two for Megan since she is the one who went for an overnight at the waterpark for two days after school. Then a busy weekend. Hmmm. This is looking to be an awful long summer then.
It didn't take her long to find something to do. Actually she started helping me with some laundry and putting things away. It is amazing when you throw the word 'allowance' around.
Any other mom's getting the 'I'm bored' yet?

Noah just got home from his dad's house. He wasn't home 2 minutes (and I'm not exaggerating here) when he asked, "can I play the game" (Madden football on PS2)
DUDE - YOU JUST GOT HOME - AT LEAST SAY HELLO TO ME - MAYBE EVEN PLAY WITH YOUR SISTERS!
so we haven't had I'm bored yet. But I'm giving it till 9:30 tomorrow morning before I start hearing it.
I hate summer.

We still have one more day of school, so nothing yet. And the one most guilty of it is currently sound asleep in my bed with a fever of 104.6 (no joke!), so it's doubtful he'll be complaining anytime soon.;)
And when school is out, he'll get his Game Boy and Playstation back, so if I hear it before the week is out, there will be hell to pay.

sounds like you need a trip away from it all --come to CA...... :)
haven't heard that word yet...crossing my fingers and knocking on wood. either they're not bored yet or they were listening when i told them that if i heard the word "bored" come out of their mouth they were going to boot camp for the summer. not only can they not say "bored" but any word even remotely connected to or sounding similar, i.e., boring, bore, bah, fore, whore, tore, more. you get my drift.

we aren't out for almost another month. then jack has summer school for a month, and only 4 weeks off. i think i might have a couple of years before i start hearing that. i can only hope! ;)
alex isn't out until Friday so no boredom yet:) She's also in school year round so she only has 7 weeks off...and she's going to be busy:)
We still have a couple more weeks of school. My kids never tell me they are bored b/c if they do I give them something to do (chores). They seem do a good job at finding something to do. ;)
Hang in there Kerry, you only have a few more months. :)
