another little update

December is a crazy month. I'm actually even pretty on top of things this year, considering. I started early with Christmas shopping, but there are so many programs, extra school activities and everything this month.

So, we're just keeping busy. Things will be back to normal at the first of the year. But right now I'm just enjoying the season.

Today is the perfect day. It is supposed to rain this weekend, and it is breezy and overcast outside. This time of year smells so good, and while I was taking Matthew to school I was enjoying watching the leaves in the street swirl behind the cars that drove over them. This may be a sight that people back east are used to, but out here it is a treat.

Mike is home, and we are getting some of the kids' Christmas presents that require some assembly put together today.

Then he is back out to fight the snow back east for a few days.
